If you're anything like me, you find clowns to be scary as hell. You also love being scared so you seek out those things that make you want to pee your pants. I know exactly when my clown fear kicked in. The year was 1990, and Stephen King's epic novel IT becomes an even more epic mini-series. I was 7 years old, and had a Stephen King fan for a mother, so yes, I was allowed to watch it. Needless to say for year I was convinced that Pennywise and Freddy lived in my closet.
I think the scariest thing about clowns is not that they are monsters, although Pennywise is, but just dudes in suits and make-up, so they are more reality based than say Wolfman.
If you ever stumble upon the 80s movie "Clownhouse", I assure you that your clown-phobia will get much worse :D
ReplyDeleteLOL I don't get the clown fear...they are funny looking but without the humor
ReplyDeleteHere I am just getting caught up on these MMM posts and then boom I run smack dab into a picture of pennywise. Don't mind me as I rock back and forth in the corner. I hate clowns so much :(

My grown son is terrified of clowns. I like to find the scariest pictures of clowns that I can and post on his FB page. Yes I guess that makes me a bad mom, but he gets even by doing the same with spiders on my page. Anyway I am always on the lookout for scary clowns.
