Beyond Shame by Kit Rocha

All Noelle Cunningham has ever wanted is a life beyond–beyond the walls of Eden, where only the righteous are allowed to remain, and beyond her stiflingly restrictive existence as a councilman’s daughter. But only ruins lie outside the City, remnants of a society destroyed by solar storms decades earlier.

The sectors surrounding Eden house the corrupt, the criminal–men like Jasper McCray, bootlegger and cage fighter. Jas clawed his way up from nothing to stand at the right hand of Sector Four’s ruthless leader, and he’ll defend the O’Kane gang with his life. But no fight ever prepared him for the exiled City girl who falls at his feet.

Her innocence is undeniable, but so is their intense sexual attraction, and soon they’re crossing every boundary Noelle barely knew she had. But if she wants to belong to Jas, first she’ll have to open herself to the gang, to a dangerous world of sex, lust and violence. A world where passion is power, and freedom is found in submission.

Lori's Review: 4 Stars

This is by far my favorite erotica ever. I absolutely loved it. Why you ask? Because it was badass and sexy. Wowza was it sexy. Alpha males just ooze off the pages. The BDSM is not tame either. It's like wow that's hot...ouch! Haha.
The writing was superb. I was instantly drawn into Noelle's story. The character descriptions were the best and the romance was to die for. This book is more of an erotic romance than straight erotica. Did I mention it's full length too. Yep hundreds of pages of hot man cakes, steamy sexual situations and tough female leads. Even though Noelle is kinda a wallflower in the beginning she definitely grows up a lot in the book. She flowers from a sexually repressed rich girl, to a badass bdsm chick! It's awesome.
The one drawback was the dystopia aspect. It felt more futuristic than dystopic. I didn't feel like the world as we know it has ended. The world in this book felt very much like our own. Maybe with a little Hunger Games capitol, and distract feel thrown in. Without the starvation. Everybody seems pretty well taken care of in this world....well food wise. I have a feeling we will be seeing more world building in the following books.

And, yes I realize this review is kinda short...and not very informative. That's because I had to scrap my first review...I compared it to a soon to be released book and realized that if I did that I would be giving away spoilers for both books. BOO. Sometimes reading an ARC/Beta copy of books are not fun...no one to share the awesome with.
