 Synopsis from Goodreads

It's no secret that we here at Contagious Reads love Rhiannon Frater. She is creative and mysterious, and everything she writes is ultimately epic. So, when I have the chance to be a part of a read along? Damn skippy! Yes, please!

The opening installment of IDWMA, Death Comes Home, is everything I expected and more. We are introduced to Vanora, present day. But no sooner have we met, we are thrust ten years into the past. Vanora is living with her older sister, Alisha, and her half brother, Roman, their parents having passed away some years ago. Life is as normal as it can be, until Roman brings home some ancient remains from their family's castle in Romania. But what are those pesky chains doing on the coffin? Who needs 'em...

I don't want to spoil anything for you guys. Seriously, go pick up a copy for yourselves and join us for the read along. There are some minor spoilers in the questions below, so you might want to skip them if you haven't read it yet.

In the prologue we meet Armando, what is everyone’s thoughts on him?
It's amazing that with only a brief mention of him, barely a glimpse, and yet we have all managed to create such a clear impression of him. I see him as dark, sultry, a protector. I am dying to learn more about him!

First impressions of the Socoli family?
I love how close they are, even with their half brother. Not a lot of people would step up to care for their younger siblings after their parents' deaths. Certainly earns Roman some major honor points, although it's a little irritating that he won't listen to his sisters, when they are so obviously freaked out. He seems stubborn and skeptical. Vanora and Alisha are more open minded and flexible. I think they have some serious potential in the vampire-butt-kicking department.

What was the most spine chilling moment?
When Vanora and Alisha are cowering in their room, wondering how to protect themselves, and Alisha opens the balcony door. I may have actually screamed something along the lines of "WHAT THE F#*! ARE YOU DOING? DON'T OPEN THE DOOR!!!"

A vampire tries to break into the house. Would you risk leaving your safe room in order to check on loved ones, or call on the phone?
It probably depends on who was in the other room... I don't mean to pick favorites amongst my loved ones, but there is no doubt in my mind that I would risk it for my kids. The rest of my family is getting a courtesy call. "Hey, so remember that dead guy you brought back from Romania?"
